Over the July 4th weekend we had the responsibility of taking in an abandoned, slightly injured, less then 2 week old fawn. We dressed wounds, got it to suckle, and fed it goat's milk every few hours. On Monday she was strong enough to go to a wildlife vet & rehab facility in Leesburg. They will release her along with 7 other orphaned fawns on the vet's own 400 acre sanctuary once they are old enough.  This has been a most incredible experience!
